Week 3 Summary
I think both of these resources are good to use for information. I have been told by many instructors that Wikipedia is not a proper site to find information because anybody can put information on it. I think that Wikipedia is just fine to use but it has gaps in the information on some things. As the research on the computers brought me to. The GVRL document was clear about the history of the computers and included what make computers work. On the Wikipedia page, the part about transistors helping start the computers rise in productivity was not mentioned. I like the GVRL search engine a little better because there are multiple documents that you can look through instead of just one page on the subject on Wikipedia.

ReplyDeleteNice summary of the two resources. One other thing to remember is that GVRL is written by scholars and also includes a list of works cited/bibliography on the topic which can point you in the right direction.
You sort of veered off on the topic you chose, you were limited to the 4 examples I provided but I'm fine with your topic. However, you also need to compose 3 research questions on your topic based on your exploration. These are necessary for this weeks work as well. When you do post your questions, please let me know so I can give you feedback on the content.
